We Have Band

Dede WP,Thomas WP and Darren Bancroft are the early work colleges that did what so many off us dream off; they quit their day jobs to fulfil another passion. A life on stage instead of a life hidden behind a desk, as a small part of a huge record label. They’ve always loved music and both Thomas & Darren has been in other band before this trio was borned. Dede on the other hand has not, but you wouldn’t know by looking at here up there. … I guess that some people are just naturally talented… Annoying as it is…
These guys were unsigned when we meet up with them in Oslo, but I don’t think that’s because they were missing offers, more that they were discussing them.
They were the proud winners of the Glastonbury emerging talent competition in 2009 and ended up playing four gigs instead of just the one.
Gareth Jones(Grizzly Bear, Depeche Mode) is producing they’re first album that will be out in April this year, so it’s hard not to have high expectations to them. And critics all over Europe has listed them as the once to watch throughout 2009.
I meet up with the trio backstage during their Europe tour before they did a great show in Oslo at Blå in the early winter 2009.
It’s their first time playing in Norway but surely not their last time. Even if their freezing and basically has on every piece of clothing they’ve packed, their mood is good and they are excited about being in Norway. They’ve toured a lot the last year and are headed over to the states after they’re done with the Europe tour. So far they’ve especially liked playing in Moscow and in Paris and when I ask what the worst thing that’s happened on stage before, it all comes back to Darren. Thomas and Darren tells me about the time Darren fell of stage, Debe cant seem to remember that episode but what she does remember is the time Darren’s drum set fell of stage and accidently hit Debe`s mum and cracked her lip open.
But the show must go on and they add that even if only a few people showed up to they’re gig one night. They would still focus on doing a good show for those who did, and hope that they would bring theyre friends the next time.

These guys are all so grooved up together on stage and you can really see how much they like theyre own music. And so do we!
The video for “You Came Out” is directed by David Wilson and is a face paint animated film made up of 4,816 separate stills. Each and every frame was handpainted, shot, wiped off and redrawn, slightly differently for the next frame in order to create a seamless sequence. This time-consuming process involved the band members lying still for two consecutive days in a studio. To animate the singing bit, lip movement was created by animating a painted mouth on Dede. This involved breaking the lyrics into phonetics and giving each sound a specific mouth shape. To make this as realistic as possible all the mouth shapes were painted on Dede`s face individually and then shot.
In the end I would like to thank Thomas for returning my lucky gloves and wish the trio all the best of luck in the future.
