Something for a rainy day………..

By kamilla  //  Music & Videos  //  Comments Off

The Orange Girl, with the original title “Appelsinpiken”

A new norwegian movie based on  Jostein Gaarders novel,  directed by Eva Dahr.

Summary:  Georg lives with his mother Veronika in Oslo. On his eighteenth birthday, he receives a thick letter from his father, Jan Olav, which his father wrote just before he died, when Georg was only six years old. On the same day, Georg is going to the mountains, equipped with skis and telescope, in order to photograph a rare celestial phenomenon. He is ambivalent concerning his father’s lether, and has repressed his memories of him. Still, he brings the letter with him. On the train to the mountains, he meets Stella, of the same age as him. In the letter, his father asks Georg a fundamental existential question: What’s the point of living when we’re going to die anyway, maybe even when life is at its best? Would you want to be born if you had a choice? But before Georg is allowed to answer, his father wants to tell him a story about the Orange Girl he met in 1982.

Must be saved for a rainy day………

…One Of The Best Feeling´s In The Whole Wide World…

At least for us from the cold north, is that moment of the year where you can both feel and smell that this year’s summer is on its way… And I think that everyone who’s in Barcelona right now got that feeling today… (If not, drag you hung over ass out of bed and take a look outside). It’s like the sun fills us all up with new energy that we’ve desperately needed for the last couple of months. And finally it’s here!!! And all the problem’s that you might have had fades away and together with the sunshine you feel stronger then you ever did before… Have a great weekend everyone…

Wondering What To Do??? Ask You’re Ipod!!!

By Pia  //  The Lost Posts  //  Comments Off

Let’s face it, it might not give you the answer you would like, need or even listen to. But it might bring a smile on you’re face, most likely because the song doesn’t even remotely have anything to do with the question you originally asked and you’re wondering how it even got on you’re Ipod in the first place. But remember you can always try and find some wisdom in it, or maybe just a good laugh.

My morning rituals bedsides the “normal” stuff (what I feel is normal, might not be the same as you, so let’s leave the definition of normal up to every individual out there…), is to put my Ipod on shuffle and the first song that appears is how my day is going to turn out!!!

And this is what my Ipod told me today;

Well I guess these boots really are made for walking, and watch out!!! One of these days these boots really are gonna walk all over you!!! Or will your´s walk all over me???

Dancing my way home from work!!!

By Pia  //  The Lost Posts  //  Comments Off

As I was walking home from work yesterday, listening to Jamiroquai with Love Foolosophy – the strangest thing happened to me. I was waiting for the green guy to show up and while waiting, I got more and more into Jamiroquai and started dancing by myself (all though a bit discreet, didn’t want anyone to think I was weird or even a freak… Some of us really have a reputation of being extremely ordinary and normal, and God help us all if that would change…) But then I noticed this guy standing a bit further to my right, also waiting, also with his Ipod, also with a headset on. And best of all, he was also really into whatever tune he’s Ipod had picked for him. Might I say even more then I was… And when the green dude finally decided to stop by and we both started walking to our own Ipod beats, I just couldn’t stop smiling. His Ipod probably played one of those upbeat songs, cause he’s was almost running up Passeig de Gracia ( hmm, could just be that he thought i was stalking him???). But now and then he would take a moment to clap his hands and even do a small jump when it felt right. And if you´ve never danced your way home from work before, I suggest you do it today… Enjoy your life!!!
